Is this the end of common sense and offline consciousness
A crude disarray of mind and matter
Everything ends and starts anew
Return to chaos, as it is the beginning
Rise to the core
Equinox
Change will never be the same
Drown, lose it all
On the hands of time
Nothing ever is the same
Nothing ever is the same
This is the feeling of lunar vertigo
Don’t look down
Transcend far beyond the physical realm
All is permitted and nothing is ever true
It’s light on pandemonium
Tarnished by the difference
The synthesis of opposites
Full light on pandemonium
Rise to the core
Equinox
Change will never be the same
Soar like the wind
Through the eye of time
Nothing ever stays the same
So turn the zodiac wheel
Find your order in chaos
The rules of nature don’t apply
Swing the pendulum
Gaze at its orbit
A celestial sphere
Twin snakes
Coil and constrict
Split apart
And order, earth, sea, sky
Like life, time and fate intertwined
Come to life, grow, feed, fall, wither, repeat
Rise to the core
Equinox
Change will never be the same
Fall like the sand
Break the hourglass
Delusional consistency
Sunless Rise takes its cue from Children of Bodom, especially in the use of the synths, which are definitely the most prominent aspect of the band's music. They provide a melodic whirlwind and a lot of energy. Mostly electronic, like a video game sound, but also symphonic at times, to bring an epic atmosphere. The whole combined with high speed guitar riffs and thunderous drums. That's the kind of refreshing and upbeat modern melodeath which would delight all the fans of the genre. Monia Lisa

7/10
The vocalist reminds me of Johan Hegg and "Scars of War" or "Two Words" do have lyrics and riffs, that could also be taken from Amon Amarth songs. But SGs backpack is filled with more: 31min title track, great instrumentals, great guest vocals; great melodeath. (and that album cover!) Karyl
